A Call to the National Day of Prayer

It is a great privilege to be given access into the presence of any great personality. That privilege is multiplied many times over when the personality is the Supreme Sovereign of the Universe who owns all of the Heavens and the Earth. It is more thrilling when the open door is extended to all that desire to come from all over the Nation. Then it is still much more inspiring when all people especially Believers, come together in unity and agreement, acknowledging their sins, failures and need for God to intervene in their Land.
As the Nation of America reflects and invites God to come more openly and visibly into the Country and do His will, there is a promise of Heaven’s response (2 Chron. 7:14) and a healing of the Land. Whenever God’s people stand together and lift up their voices in sincerity, there is the potential of a great response from Heaven, just as the Disciples experienced in Acts 4:31.  In the face of the persecution and issues of their times their prayer made a mark as they turned to God and raised their voices in a united cry to the Lord. And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spoke the word of God with boldness (Acts 4:31).

In the midst of harassment, threats, intimidation and arrest, they realized that their strength and power was in and through God.  Their response to the tribulation was not physical but was dealt with through prayer as they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art God… (Acts 4:24). The result of their prayers were phenomenal, even the Land responded by its shaking. In our day and time, the spiritual forces seem to have unleashed such actions against God’s people that we need to respond like they did.

It is time for us to tap into this same spiritual energy, come together and release a cry unto God in order to shift the spiritual darkness over this nation today. We need to experience the same shaking all over the place.

As we come together this Thursday, May 7th, to turn our faces and hearts to the Lord and earnestly seek His mercy and help for America, we have His assurance of His response.
“then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.” – Jer 29:12-13
It is therefore, incumbent on us now, to come out and let our voices be heard bringing symphonies of prayers to the Lord.  Undoubtedly, if we respond in this manner,  there will be a change for the better in our Nation. If there was ever a time to seek the Lord while He may be found, it is now; a time to call upon Him while He is near – this is that time.
The only hope for the world now is Jesus.
In answer to our cries, He desires to change hearts so that the wicked will forsake their way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and return to the LORD, and He (God) will have compassion on him, and  (return to) our God, for He will abundantly pardon.

This National Day of Prayer, we all need to join others to pray, seek the Lord and intercede for this Land. Let our individual voices be heard among the collective voices. Let us anticipate a warm, welcoming reception from Heaven and a sweet visitation, a revival and renewal on the Land of America. Our Leaders need it. Our families need it. Our children need that visitation. And most definitely, the Church needs it to awaken out of any spiritual slumber and represent the Most High God in our time. The Church needs to stand in His authority to confront the powers of Darkness that have been threatening to overtake the people and the Land. We already know the conclusion of the matter – the Lord WINS! We might as well start living it out here, and let the Light of God shine in this Land and beam out to all other peoples and Nations. Lord, hear our cry!
“Yet have thou respect unto the prayer of thy servant, and to his supplication, O LORD my God, to hearken unto the cry and to the prayer, which thy servant prayeth before thee to day”
-1 Kings 8:28
